Location Overview:
The Crisis Service and Diagnostic Center provides individualized, short-term (up to 90 days) stabilization supports a maximum of sixteen (16) adults aged 18 and above who have intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) and/or co-occurring behavioral health (BH) diagnoses adults with. These individuals may be experiencing psychiatric crises or significant emotional/behavioral challenges that threaten their ability to remain in their current home environment.
Position Overview
The Shift Lead position reports to the Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA). This role is responsible for leading the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs) on each shift. The Shift Lead is required to complete ABC data and finalize the shift checklist at the end of every shift.
Location/Schedule:
750 Hazel Street, Macon, GA – Sunday-Saturday and Every Other Weekends 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with instruction and advise individuals on daily living skills in one-on-one or group settings.
- Observe, document, and monitor client behavior in Motivity. Ensure that direct support staff (DSP) and registered behavioral technicians (RBT) complete documentation as assigned.
- Counsel individuals on behavioral issues, basic decision-making, and minor problem resolution.
- Provide personal care to individuals on the unit as needed.
- Conduct rounds every 30 minutes to ensure individuals’ schedules are being followed or prompted, including active treatment, hygiene, and proper care of clothing.
- Prepare meals and snacks, including special diets, for individuals.
- Provide transportation for individuals to off-unit appointments or activities as needed.
- Remind DSPs and RBTs to check emails at least once per shift.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required, or a score of 75 or above on the TOFHLA.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to successfully complete basic training courses such as CPR, First Aid, and others as required.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
- Must have knowledge of patient behavior observation, client assistance techniques, individualized service plans, and documentation procedures.
- Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate effective conflict resolution skills.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to lift 16 – 20 pounds whenever needed.
