Position Overview
Instructor 1 supports individuals with developmental disabilities by aiding with daily living activities, behavioral monitoring, and skills training in various settings such as homes, group residences, workshops, or supported employment environments. The role includes limited case management, transportation, and facilitation of group and individual training sessions.
Location/Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.
The candidate hired for this position may be required to work at the following locations if the Instructor 1 Floater is not available:
Jones County – 530 Settlement Pointe, Road, Gray, GA,
Macon-Bibb County – 139 Woodfield Drive, Macon, GA,
Monroe County – 168 Old Brent Road, Forsyth, Ga

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction on daily living skills individually or in groups.
- Monitor, observe, and document client behavior and progress.
- Offer guidance in decision-making and behavior management.
- Support clients during periods of change, illness, or disruption.
- Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation (including special diets), and errands.
- Help develop and implement individual service/treatment plans.
- Participate in case reviews and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Provide transportation and ensure access to necessary medical care.
- Deliver or assist with educational and recreational activities.
- Complete and maintain client records and service documentation.
- Staff will be required to transport.
- Proficient in observing and reporting behavior.
- Familiarity with individualized service plans (ISP) and documentation.
- Ability to provide and document case management support.
- Knowledge of applicable state/federal regulations and confidentiality laws.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Georgia driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- The selected candidate must pass a background check and drug screening.
