A&B Sheet Metal is seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, has an eye for finish detail, values safety, and enjoys working in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding sheet metal and structural components used in a variety of commercial, residential, and industrial applications. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team while contributing to projects that directly impact our customers' success.
What You'll Do
- Must be able to TIG weld stainless efficiently.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on a variety of metals and materials.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Fabricate, assemble, and weld sheet metal to required specifications.
- Inspect completed welds and finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Operate welding equipment, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with fabrication and installation teams to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Previous welding and fabrication experience required.
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Must be able to pass a background check as well as a federal drug test (includes THC).
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certification or equivalent welding credentials.
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Experience with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel welding.
- Forklift and/or overhead crane experience.
