Work Schedule: 7:00 – 4:00 Mon-Thurs, 7:00 – 11:00 am Friday

Location: Washington, NC Onsite
Position purpose:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a crucial role in sourcing, screening, and selecting top talent for various roles within the company. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of recruitment best practices, and the ability to build relationships with potential candidates and internal stakeholders. This is a full-time on-site role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Sourcing: Utilize various recruitment methods (job boards, social media, networking) to source qualified candidates for open positions. Create compelling job descriptions and post openings on relevant platforms to attract candidates
- Screening & Interviewing: Review resumes, conduct phone interviews, and assess candidates’ skills, qualifications, and cultural fit.
- Candidate Management: Maintain ongoing communication with candidates, provide feedback, and ensure positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand their staffing needs, job requirements, and team dynamics. Maintain ongoing communication and coordination between hiring managers and job candidates.
- Process Management: Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to fill roles efficiently and manage the full cycle recruiting process from job posting to first day orientation. Coordinate the offer process, including salary negotiation and pre-start onboarding paperwork.
- Data Management: Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS), ensuring accurate records of all recruitment activities, offering details and onboarding paperwork for each candidate and new hire.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, talent market conditions, and competitive practices.
- Recruiting Events: Participate in various recruiting events, job fairs and company events to promote the company and source candidates.
- New Hire Orientation: Conduct new hire orientation, educating candidates about the company, benefits, policies and other key information ensuring employees have an excellent day one experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in recruitment, staffing, or talent acquisition.
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple roles and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in human resources or closely related field and
- Minimum of 2 years of Recruiting experience.
- Or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
- Experience recruiting for various roles, including technical and non-technical positions.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with social media recruitment and employer branding strategies.
