Position Overview
Riveer is seeking a proactive and experienced IT Manager to oversee all aspects of information technology infrastructure, systems security, network management, and user support. This position is responsible for maintaining the health, reliability, and performance of Riveer’s technology systems while supporting day-to-day operational needs and long-term digital growth.
The IT Manager will work closely with leadership and departmental stakeholders to identify technology solutions, manage IT vendors, and ensure users have the tools and support needed to operate efficiently and securely across the organization. This is a hands-on role responsible for both day-to-day execution and long-term IT planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer internal networks, firewalls, switches, servers, backup systems, and VPNs
- Ensure uptime, security, and performance of wired and wireless infrastructure across all departments
- Manage onsite and cloud-based services (e.g., file storage, email, backup solutions)
- Manage and support core business applications, including ERP, CRM, and project management tools
- Oversee user accounts, access permissions, licensing, and software deployments
- Evaluate and implement updates or replacements for outdated systems
- Coordinate with software vendors for maintenance, licensing, and customization
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, firewalls, anti-virus, and system monitoring tools
- Support compliance with internal security standards, ISO 9001 requirements, and any relevant government/military cybersecurity expectations (e.g., CMMC readiness)
- Perform regular system audits and risk assessments
- Provide support to resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Manage IT support requests and monitor response times and issue resolution
- Train users on best practices for tools, systems, and cybersecurity awareness
- Work with leadership to align IT initiatives with business objectives
- Develop and manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships
- Identify and propose new technologies to improve productivity, efficiency, and security
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of progressive IT experience, including system administration and network support
- 2 years in a management or senior-level IT role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365)
- Experience with network infrastructure, backups, virtualization, and endpoint management
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, communication, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support a broad range of departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO 9001, CMMC, NIST 800-171)
- Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security , CISSP)
- Experience supporting CAD or design software (Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.)
