- Adjust watering schedules based on soil science data, weather conditions, and landscape needs to optimize water use.
- Perform soil testing and analysis to determine appropriate irrigation requirements for different plantings.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators safely and efficiently during installation or repair projects.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into overall landscaping plans.
- Maintain detailed records of system inspections, repairs, and modifications to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on irrigation systems or related equipment.
- Strong electrical diagnostics skills for troubleshooting controller issues and electrical components within irrigation systems.
- Knowledge of soil science principles relevant to irrigation planning and water conservation strategies.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators.
- Familiarity with horticulture practices, lawn care techniques, and landscape maintenance procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and system schematics accurately.
- Prior experience in landscaping or construction projects is highly desirable.
Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward safety protocols. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are essential for success in this role.
