Onboarding — Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund (NYC)
Riva Recruiting is partnering with a top NYC multi-strategy hedge fund on an Onboarding hire. This is a platform with serious capital, serious infrastructure, and a business that touches a wide range of markets, products, and counterparties. Onboarding sits at the center of how the firm grows — every new strategy, every new counterparty, every new account runs through this seat.
The seat
You'll own onboarding end-to-end across the platform — strategies, counterparties, prime brokers, custodians, and accounts. The work cuts across portfolio management, legal, compliance, treasury, technology, and fund administration, which means the right person is part project manager, part operator, part diplomat. You'll be deep in KYC and AML documentation, account setup, and the day-to-day coordination that makes onboarding actually move. You'll also own the trackers, the metrics, and the process improvements that turn a reactive function into a proactive one.
Who we're looking for
Someone who's been in the onboarding, client services, fund ops, or AML/KYC world at a hedge fund, asset manager, fund administrator, or prime brokerage. You understand hedge fund structures — master-feeders, offshore vehicles, managed accounts — and you've seen enough counterparty and account setup work to know where things break. You're organized, detail-oriented, and you don't need to be told twice. You handle multiple workstreams without dropping any of them, and you communicate clearly with people who don't have time for ambiguity.
The best candidates for this seat tend to be self-starters who want to own something, push process forward, and operate inside a fast-moving investment platform.
Salary : $175,000 - $240,000
