Rite-Way Aviation is a Certified Aviation Repair Station and Textron Service Facility located at David Wayne Hooks Airport in Spring, Texas. The accountant position directly manages the daily accounting needs of Rite-Way Aviation. Position requires open engagement and excellent customer service to both clients and vendors.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
- Setup of Vendors on preferred payment methods and terms.
- Performs daily accounting activities and closing processes.
- Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts, bank statements, and fixed assets.
- Prepares, posts, and verifies the accuracy of journal entries. Analyzes general ledger accounts and records entries in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Prepares and files required reports to ensure compliance with tax requirements.
- Completes moderately complex accounting assignments and ensures that comprehensive accounting records are maintained in an organized manner.
- Prepares monthly reports reflecting spending versus budget. Prepares cash flow projections. Assists with year-end and monthly reporting functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of related experience
- Outstanding communication skills and positive attitude
- Expert working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Proficient with Microsoft office
- Ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Self-motivated and the ability to multi-task in a team atmosphere
- Listening, analytical and reasoning skills

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
