Responsibilities:
- Maintain existing client base.
- Develop new client base while utilizing professional sales techniques. To include cold calling.
- Pre-plan and schedule appointments daily.
- Promote and sell services daily.
- Utilization of effective communication skills daily.
- Attend after-hours events such as Chamber of Commerce meetings, customer events.
- Meet with company operations personnel, i.e., Terminal Managers, Drivers, Customer Service, etc.
- Follow up on sales leads and referrals in a timely manner.
- Assist Corporate Office with collections of past due accounts.
- Prepare Weekly Recap Reports, Weekly Plan Sheet, Expense Reports, Mileage .Reports, and Truckload Quote Breakdown Forms.
- Assist Corporate Office with damaged freight inspections and report back to Corporate Office.
- Review and analyze specific customer shipping requirements and report back to pricing. department to assist in the development of fair and equitable account pricing.
- All office personnel must be reliable, must report for duty on time, and must be available for overtime when required.
- All office personnel must keep management informed.
- All office personnel must maintain a good working relationship with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management.
- Learn and adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures.
- Updating CRM (Customer Relations Management) database daily.
