What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Account Management Employee Benefits position at Risk Strategies?
Your Impact:
- Serve as subject matter expert across Health & Welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary products
- Oversee and grow a large GA block of business totaling $8M–$9M in premium
- Lead GA carrier relationships to maintain and expand override contracts
- Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the wholesale team, including account managers, benefit coordinators, and new business staff
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, prospects, and carriers while anticipating needs and delivering proactive solutions
- Ensure regulatory compliance, underwriting guidance, and timely, accurate updates across all brokerage systems (e.g., BenefitPoint, AMS)
- Project manage the book of business using Risk Strategies tools, ensuring quality, accountability, and on-time delivery
Successful Candidates Will Have:
- BA/BS preferred
- Life, Accident and Health Insurance License required
- 7 years of health & welfare experience, consistently exceeds core practice competency-based skills
- Client facing experience in the employee benefit industry
- Advanced technical knowledge of benefits administration, HealthCare Reform, industry trends, carrier products and services

Pay Range:
$170,000 - $201,000 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for this role.
