Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through strategic consultation and responsive service.
- Lead client onboarding, renewals, and meetings, ensuring alignment with client goals and market trends.
- Serve as the primary contact for deliverables including strategy plans, analytics, compliance, and vendor coordination.
- Manage the full RFP process, analyzing proposals and recommending optimal plan options.
- Negotiate with carriers and vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms for clients.
- Address client inquiries on benefits, claims, billing, and escalated issues across communication channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stay informed on industry trends to support clients and Alera Group’s strategic goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
- 1-3 years of experience in Employee Benefits
- Active or attainable Ohio Health & Welfare Insurance License (with ongoing CE requirements)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel® and PowerPoint®
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft proposals and deliver presentations to senior-level audiences
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Collaborative, professional, and client-focused with a commitment to service excellence
