Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at a 64-room hotel currently undergoing renovation. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the hotel facilities, including ongoing renovation activities. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on hotel facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Assist with ongoing renovation projects by supporting contractors and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Conduct repairs on equipment, fixtures, and furnishings to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel policies during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance storage areas.
- Collaborate with management to prioritize tasks based on urgency and operational needs.
Skills
- Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role within hospitality or commercial settings.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general building repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions.
