Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional growth for infants and one-year-olds.
- Provide attentive toddler care by monitoring health, nutrition, hygiene, and safety needs in accordance with best practices in childcare and early intervention.
- Manage classroom activities with effective classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and engagement among young children.
- Support children’s physical development through teaching physical education activities suitable for their age group.
- Utilize behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and address any behavioral challenges compassionately.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, milestones, and any special education or developmental needs.
- Maintain detailed lesson plans, classroom records, and documentation aligned with childhood development standards and standardized testing requirements when applicable.
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare, preschool, or private school settings.
- Extremely patient with the children
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles including curriculum development.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques tailored for young children.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, colleagues, and external specialists.
- Demonstrated understanding of childhood development milestones and classroom management best practices.
- Certification or training in childcare or early childhood education is preferred; ongoing professional development in areas such as math or physical education is a plus.
