Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Two-Year-Old Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers. This role involves implementing age-appropriate curricula, fostering social and emotional growth, and supporting early literacy and numeracy skills. The Two-Year-Old Teacher will collaborate with parents, staff, and specialists to promote a positive learning experience that encourages curiosity and foundational skills essential for future academic success.
Duties
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on toddler care, literacy education, and early childhood development.
- Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes exploration and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, ensuring a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Facilitate activities that support social-emotional growth, communication skills, and physical development including teaching physical education activities suitable for toddlers.
- Conduct assessments of children's progress through observations and standardized testing when applicable.
- Collaborate with parents to discuss developmental milestones, progress reports, and strategies for at-home support.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with licensing standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood education, special education, Montessori methods, or other relevant areas such as early intervention or preschool experience.
- Support children with diverse needs by applying inclusive teaching practices and working with specialists if necessary.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in a classroom or daycare setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Experience developing curriculum content for early learners, including literacy education and math activities tailored for toddlers.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, or Montessori methods is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is desirable.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate physical activity, arts & crafts, storytelling, and educational games.
- Patience, creativity, adaptability, and a genuine passion for nurturing young children’s growth are essential qualities for success in this role.
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
