Job Overview
Rising Stars Academy is seeking a flexible and dedicated Childcare Floater to join our team. As a floater, you will assist in multiple classrooms, providing care and support to children of various ages, from infants to preschoolers. You will collaborate with lead teachers and other staff to ensure a nurturing and safe environment for the children.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in maintaining a structured and engaging learning environment.
- Supervise and interact with children during activities, meals, and outdoor play.
- Provide support for diapering, feeding, and nap times.
- Step in to cover classrooms when teachers are on break or absent.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to work with children of varying ages.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background check.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
- Familiarity with early childhood education practices is an advantage.
- First aid certification is highly desirable.
- Background in special education or related fields is a plus.
- Previous babysitting or childcare experience will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents and staff.
- Patience, creativity, flexibility and enthusiasm for working with young children.
