What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Support Associate position at Moxi Childcare?
The School Support Associate is the friendly first face families see each day and a reliable extra set of hands for the teaching team. This role is a great fit for someone who loves being around kids and families but is just starting out in childcare — no classroom teaching experience required. You'll learn the rhythms of a school day by supporting from the front desk and stepping into classrooms when needed, reporting to the School Lead.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Front Desk & Family Experience
- Greet families warmly at drop-off and pick-up
- Answer and route phone calls, take messages, and respond to basic questions
- Open and/or close the school, following opening/closing procedures
- Keep the front desk area tidy, organized, and welcoming
Classroom & Teacher Support
- Cover teacher bathroom and lunch breaks across classrooms as needed
- Step in as extra hands during busy transitions (arrival, meals, naptime, departure)
- Provide classroom coverage when a teacher calls out, alongside the School Lead's staffing plan
- Support with basic classroom needs — cleaning up, resetting materials, helping with supervision
- Follow ratio and safety guidelines at all times
General Support
- Assist restocking, or light administrative tasks as requested
- Communicate clearly and promptly with the School Lead about coverage needs or front desk issues
- Escalate any parent concerns, incidents, or compliance questions to the School Lead

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
