OUR MISSION
We are a nonprofit preschool in San Diego focused on helping families and children in underserved communities. Our mission is to give kids ages 0-5 a safe, caring place to learn and grow, while also helping families get the support and services they need. YOUR SCHEDULE
As a Toddler Teacher, you will work from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. All your hours are onsite. No nights or weekends are needed.
YOUR DAY
Every day, you will care for a group of lively children. You will help them learn and grow by planning fun activities that teach them to talk, move, play, and get along with others. You will take care of their daily needs, like helping with meals, diapering or bathroom time, naps, and moving from one activity to the next. You will watch how each child is doing, talk with families and your coworkers, and keep your classroom clean and safe. Your job is to make sure every child feels happy, safe, and ready to learn.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A TODDLER TEACHER
- 12 ECE units completed
- Experience working with toddlers (ages 1.5–3) in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Familiarity with California Community Care Licensing (CCL) regulations and healthsafety standards
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A nurturing, patient, and professional approach
