We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and experienced 2 year old educator to join our nurturing team, focusing on creating a warm and dynamic environment for our toddlers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Child Development & Learning: Observe and document the development of children , identifying individual needs and adapting teaching strategies to support their growth.
  • Reggio Emilia Approach: Implement and model the Reggio Emilia philosophy in daily practice, focusing on the child as the protagonist of their learning journey, encouraging exploration, inquiry, and creative expression.
  • Classroom Environment: Prepare a stimulating, child-centered environment with materials that reflect the interests of the children and encourage hands-on, project-based learning.
  • Safety & Wellbeing: Ensure the physical and emotional safety of each child in your care, following all safety guidelines, maintaining a clean environment, and complying with all California childcare licensing regulations.
  • Family Communication: Build positive relationships with families, providing regular updates on children’s progress, behavior, and activities.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with fellow teachers and staff to plan, assess, and reflect on the curriculum and daily activities, fostering a cooperative and supportive team atmosphere.
  • Professional Development: Continuously engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills related to child development, Reggio Emilia philosophy, and early childhood education practices.


Qualifications :

  • A minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE), including core courses in child development, child, family, and community, and early childhood curriculum.
  • Preferred: AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field (not required)

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience leading a classroom in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
  • Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy is a plus.
  • Experience with observation and documentation of child development (e.g., anecdotal records, developmental checklists).

Licensing & Certifications:

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or paid for by us)
  • Clearance through California Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI background checks.
  • updated mandated reporter training
