We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Nurse Aide 3 to 11 to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, demonstrating proficiency in assisting with daily living activities, medical procedures, and maintaining a safe environment for our residents. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring long-term and post-acute care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems).
- Support patients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer methods are followed.
- Assist with medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and medication protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Participate in ongoing training related to emergency procedures, CPR certification, dementia care, hospice support, and other specialized areas as required.
Skills
- Proven experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care or skilled nursing settings.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and basic life support (BLS).
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Strong caregiver communication skills with an emphasis on patient service and compassionate caregiving.
- Basic understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques necessary for healthcare environments.
