The Registered Nurse are responsible for supervising day-to-day health services activities. Health Services provide services and support for foster care, residential and ACS involved youth.

Full time position-hours are based upon the needs of the Program and will be discussed prior to employment. Work is conducted in clinical settings within program facilities.

Role Overview
The Registered Nurse are responsible for supervising day-to-day health services activities. Health Services provide services and support for foster care, residential and ACS involved youth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides general medical care and treatment to individuals supported per program, on site.
- Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions.
- Provide health evaluations, assessments, and screenings with follow ups.
- Review all Pediatric guidelines for care, including immunizations and testing
- Records physical findings based on the patient’s condition.
- Participate in clinical team and other health professional to prepare comprehensive patient care plan utilizing historical and current information
- Conducts and assists in medical examination of youth after incidents.
- Provides health education to youth supported, including reproductive health education.
- On call for all triage, sick, urgent and quick coverage, questions and consult calls for assigned programs (if this pertains to the Program that you are covering).
- Administer Medication.
- Train staff.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred; candidates with strong nursing experience in other clinical settings are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive nursing care, assess patient needs, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while maintaining high standards of patient care and documentation.
