Marketing Intern

Position Summary:

The Marketing Intern will support the marketing and design teams by helping with basic reporting, research, and presentation preparation for ongoing projects. The intern will gain an understanding of how strategic marketing and design support the homebuilding customer journey while assisting with research on marketing trends, model home design, and overall customer experience within the industry.

The program will be in session from June 8 – July 31 and based in Irvine, CA.

Job Duties:

General Responsibilities:

• Assist with researching competitor marketing strategies, community positioning, and design trends in the homebuilding industry.
• Help organize marketing and design resources, including mood boards, inspiration examples, or presentation materials.
• Participate in model home/ sales gallery neighborhood walkthroughs and help document observations related to customer experience and merchandising.
• Assist with preparing internal presentations, summaries, or reports for marketing and design initiatives.

Learning Opportunities:

• Exposure to how marketing, design, and sales collaborate to bring new home communities to market.
• Opportunities to attend team meetings and observe how strategic marketing decisions are made.
• Participation in model home or neighborhood walkthroughs to see how design influences the homebuyer experience.
• Mentorship and regular check-ins with marketing and design team members.

Key Qualifications

• Interest in marketing, design, real estate, architecture, or consumer experience within the homebuilding or real estate industry
• Strong curiosity and eager to learn
• Basic familiarity with PowerPoint, Excel, and/or Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with different teams
  

Special Projects:
Interns will actively participate in projects within their team and department, contributing to real business initiatives throughout the program. In addition, each intern will be responsible for completing a final project at the end of the internship showcasing their skills, knowledge, and insights they have gained as well as highlighting their contributions to the organization.

Compensation:
The hourly rate for this role is $20.00, with wages paid on a bi-weekly basis.

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary position. Requires the ability to hear, type and talk. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard. The primary work location is a corporate office with low to moderate noise levels. Appropriate business apparel and professional appearance are expected.
