Summer Camp Assistant Director
Rise Up Martial Arts – Summer 2026
Are you a motivated leader who enjoys working with children and creating a positive, high-energy environment? Rise Up Martial Arts is seeking a Summer Camp Assistant Director for our 2026 program. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and passionate about making a meaningful impact on children’s development and summer experience.
Position Overview
The Assistant Director supports the overall management and daily operations of the summer camp program. This includes staff coordination, camper supervision, administrative support, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-organized camp environment.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday (5 days per week)
- PM Shift: 12:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating camp coaches and staff
- Oversee daily camp operations and promptly address any issues that arise
- Support the development and implementation of camp curriculum, including activities, special events, and field trips
- Manage camper check-in and check-out procedures to ensure accurate attendance tracking
- Enforce all safety policies and procedures; respond appropriately to emergencies
- Maintain organized records, including paperwork, reports, and payment tracking
- Lead or assist with camp activities as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Communicate with prospective and current families via phone, text, and email regarding enrollment and general inquiries
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting
- Must be drug- and tobacco-free
- Reliable transportation required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dependable, professional, and able to work collaboratively with a team
- Positive attitude and genuine interest in working with children
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
