Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial facilities
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas according to established standards
- Handle waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently and responsibly
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure continuous availability
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently while using cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors for quick resolution
- Use janitorial equipment effectively to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation of all assigned areas
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to office buildings, retail spaces, or industrial facilities is advantageous
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers or carpet cleaners is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
