Electrical Apprentice

The Electrical Apprentice will work under the supervision of a Journeymen Electrician performing the installation and retrofitting of HVAC equipment in a wide variety of commercial and industrial facilities. 

This position will work from a variety of ladders and aerial lifts to perform the installations and will be required to drive from location to location throughout the course of the workday and work week.  This position requires strict adherence to company safety guidelines and practices, as well as maintaining a clean work site that minimally interferes with customers’ business operations. The position is based out of the Fall River, MA office. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment.
• Provide accurate written documentation and progress reports.
• 1 years' experience as an Apprentice Electrician
• experience in the installation of premium efficiency lighting upgrades
• Familiarity with energy management systems, controls, variable frequency drives or high efficiency motors

Work Environment: 

This position requires the employee to work both inside and outside. The employee may be subject to loud noises and hot and cold temperatures while on work site.

Positions Type and Expected hours of Work: 

This is a full-time 40-hour position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Travel: Daily travel to job sites throughout MA and RI

Physical Demands:

• Lifting weight up to and over 75 lbs. in both a vertical and horizontal range of motion.
• Crawl, stoop, stand, reach (push/pull) & bend to perform necessary work.
• Able to ascend and descend on extension ladders, step ladders and stairs using feet and/or hands and arms.
• Able to drive a company vehicle and walk around at job sites.
• Reading, computer input, typing and answering the phone.
• Clarity of vision at both over 20 feet and under 20 inches.
• Able to judge depth (distance & space relationships), have a good field of vision, and identify and distinguish colors.
• Adjustment of eye to bring object into sharp focus.
