Key Responsibilities
Financial & Accounting Responsibilities
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and accurately record transactions in the general ledger
- Prepare and post journal entries in a timely manner
- Maintain and update prepaid schedules and supporting documentation
- Assist with accounts payable functions and payment processing as needed
- Manage payment applications, transfers, and account reconciliations
- Support month-end close processes and preparation of financial reports
- Ensure financial statements and deliverables are completed accurately and within deadlines
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
- Collaborate closely with Community Managers and internal departments to provide financial guidance and support
- Communicate proactively regarding deadlines, priorities, outstanding items, and potential issues
- Respond promptly and professionally to emails, Teams messages, and internal requests
- Assist with coverage planning and task coordination to ensure continuity during absences or PTO
- Support process improvements and contribute positively to overall team operations
- Maintain a high level of accountability, follow-through, and attention to detail in daily responsibilities
- Dependable and proactive professional with a strong work ethic
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong follow-through and commitment to completing tasks thoroughly and on time
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative and supportive team member
- Professional communication skills with a responsive and solutions-oriented approach
- Adaptability and willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required
- Community association, HOA, property management, or real estate accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable, and month-end close processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems required
- Experience managing deadlines and high-volume workloads preferred
