About us
Rise and Renew Recovery is a detox and residential treatment program serving adults with substance use disorders. We provide ASAM Level 3.7 medically monitored withdrawal management and Level 3.5 residential treatment, combining medical stabilization with a full continuum of behavioral health support. Our multidisciplinary team includes an attending physician, nursing staff, therapists, and case managers who work closely together to give residents a safe, dignified path through recovery.
About the role
You'll perform admission history and physical examinations (H&Ps) and conduct ongoing medical follow-up visits for residents, working under the supervision and collaboration of our attending physician.
What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive admission H&Ps for new residents, including assessment of withdrawal severity and identification of acute medical needs.
- Conduct routine and as-needed medical follow-up visits throughout each resident's stay.
- Order, interpret, and act on labs, diagnostics, and screenings.
- Prescribe and manage medications within your scope and in coordination with the attending physician.
- Document accurately and promptly in the electronic health record, and communicate clearly with nursing, behavioral health, and case management.
- Escalate acute or complex presentations to the attending physician and coordinate higher levels of care when needed.
What we're looking for
Required
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in [State], with the ability to enter a collaborative/supervisory agreement with our attending physician.
- National NP certification (AANP or ANCC) — [FNP / AGNP / PMHNP] track.
- Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain).
- Current BLS certification.
- Comfort performing independent H&Ps and managing medical follow-up in an inpatient or residential setting.
Preferred
- Experience in addiction medicine, withdrawal management, or behavioral health.
- Familiarity with MAT protocols, including buprenorphine and naltrexone.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- ACLS certification.
