Director of Procurement

RISE A Real Estate Company
Jacksonville, FL Full Time
POSTED ON 7/8/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/6/2026
Experience Level: Senior Leadership

This position is intended for an experienced procurement leader with a demonstrated history of developing enterprise purchasing strategies, negotiating national supplier agreements, and building high-performing procurement organizations within construction, real estate development, or related industries.

Position Overview

RISE is seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to lead the procurement function across our construction division.

This role owns the enterprise procurement strategy, national purchasing program, supplier relationships, sourcing initiatives, procurement systems, governance, and cost management efforts supporting construction operations across the organization.

This is not a purchasing manager position.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building and leading a procurement organization that creates long-term value through disciplined sourcing, supplier partnerships, operational excellence, and financial stewardship.

Reporting to executive construction leadership, this individual will establish procurement standards that improve project execution, reduce risk, strengthen supplier relationships, and support continued growth across the RISE portfolio.

Why RISE

  • Opportunity to build and lead the procurement function for a growing, vertically integrated Owner/Developer/General Contractor.
  • Direct partnership with executive leadership and meaningful influence on company strategy.
  • Opportunity to shape procurement standards, supplier relationships, and purchasing strategy across the enterprise.
  • Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.
  • High-growth environment with significant opportunity for long-term career advancement.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the construction procurement function and establish the enterprise procurement strategy.
  • Develop the procurement operating model, policies, governance, and performance standards.
  • Align procurement priorities with company objectives while remaining accountable for enterprise procurement outcomes.
  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement organization.

National Sourcing & Supplier Partnerships

  • Own the national purchasing program and enterprise master supplier agreements.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that leverage enterprise purchasing power.
  • Negotiate national agreements that improve pricing, terms, rebates, service levels, and material availability.
  • Build strategic supplier partnerships that support long-term operational success.

Cost Leadership & Financial Stewardship

  • Own procurement savings initiatives and enterprise purchasing performance.
  • Develop value engineering strategies that reduce cost while maintaining quality and schedule.
  • Monitor procurement performance against budget objectives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Construction, Preconstruction, and Finance leadership to support project profitability.

Supplier Relationship & Risk Management

  • Lead the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program.
  • Develop supplier segmentation strategies, scorecards, business reviews, and performance metrics.
  • Establish portfolio-wide supply chain risk mitigation strategies, including dual sourcing and contingency planning.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships while protecting company interests.

Procurement Systems & Process Improvement

  • Lead the selection, implementation, and continuous improvement of procurement, ERP, and project management systems.
  • Standardize procurement workflows and purchasing processes across the organization.
  • Drive procurement digital transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, reporting, and data integrity.

Reporting & Executive Analytics

  • Develop procurement dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting.
  • Provide meaningful insights into procurement performance, supplier activity, project forecasting, spend analysis, and capital planning.
  • Support executive decision-making through timely and accurate reporting.

Compliance & Governance

  • Establish procurement policies and governance standards across the construction division.
  • Oversee vendor onboarding requirements, insurance compliance, lien waiver administration, documentation controls, and contract compliance.
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and risk management standards.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first year, you will:

  • Establish a scalable procurement organization capable of supporting continued company growth.
  • Strengthen national supplier relationships and negotiate enterprise purchasing agreements.
  • Improve purchasing consistency across projects and regions.
  • Deliver measurable procurement savings while protecting quality and project schedules.
  • Implement standardized procurement policies, workflows, and reporting.

  • You are passionate about developing people, improving processes, and creating scalable procurement operations.
  • You measure success through operational performance, supplier partnerships, financial results, and project outcomes.
