Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and motivated Certified Peer Specialists to join our team and support individuals on their individualized journey. In this role, you will use your lived experience to inspire hope, provide peer support, and empower others to achieve lasting wellness and self-advocacy.
You will also assist with coaching, and guiding individuals through activities while modeling positive coping strategies and resilience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized peer support and health coaching focused on self-advocacy, wellness management, medication adherence, smoking cessation, entitlements, and daily living skills.
- Share personal recovery experiences to promote hope, empowerment, and model effective coping strategies.
- Offer mentorship and encouragement to individuals receiving mental health services.
- Assist clients in setting and achieving personal recovery goals.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Peer Specialist Certification (Applicants may apply before obtaining certification and complete it afterward).
Experience Required:
- Personal lived experience with emotional or mental health challenges And recovery (personal or through a close family member).
- Willingness to use this experience to inspire and support others in their recovery journey.
