Unity Care NY is hiring Certified Peer Support staff to join our team across the Hudson Valley. If you are passionate about helping people and have lived experience that can guide others, we would like to hear from you.
As a Peer Support team member, you will work directly with the people we serve, offering encouragement, understanding, and practical support on their path forward.
*Responsibilities*
- Provide one-on-one peer support to clients using your own lived experience
- Encourage, motivate, and support clients in working toward their goals
- Help connect clients with resources and services in their community
- Build trusting, respectful relationships with clients
- Keep accurate, timely notes and records as required
- Work as part of the Unity Care NY team and follow program guidelines and confidentiality standards
*Requirements*
- Peer support certification (certified peer support)
- Compassion, good communication, and professionalism
- Reliable and able to work with clients across our service areas
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred (optional)
- Previous experience in peer support or a related field
