As our production operations continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated, technically minded individual to join our team as a Dental 3D Printing & Post-Processing Technician.

Position Overview

The 3D Printing & Post-Processing Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining our 3D printing equipment while ensuring every dental appliance is accurately manufactured and properly processed.

You will manage the workflow from approved digital design files through 3D printing, washing, curing, and preparation for final finishing.

This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, organization, and the ability to maintain consistent production quality.

Prior 3D printing experience is strongly preferred. Dental laboratory experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

3D Printing Operations

• Operate and monitor resin-based 3D printers used to manufacture orthodontic appliances and dental sleep devices.
• Receive and organize approved digital design files for production.
• Prepare, orient, support, and arrange digital models using approved slicing and printing software.
• Set up print jobs according to established manufacturing procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify printing failures.
• Inspect completed print jobs for accuracy and manufacturing defects.
• Follow established procedures for handling dental printing materials and resins.
• Track production jobs and maintain accurate manufacturing records.
• Manage printing schedules to ensure timely completion of production orders.

Post-Processing

• Carefully remove printed appliances from build platforms.
• Remove support structures when required by the approved manufacturing process.
• Operate automated or manual washing equipment.
• Perform post-curing procedures using validated equipment and settings.
• Ensure dental appliances are properly washed, cured, and prepared for finishing.
• Inspect appliances for printing defects, incomplete curing indicators, damage, and other quality concerns.
• Organize and transfer completed appliances to the finishing and polishing department.

Equipment Maintenance & Quality Control

• Perform routine printer cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor resin levels and maintain appropriate inventory of printing materials.
• Clean and maintain build platforms, resin tanks, and post-processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment problems and print failures.
• Maintain accurate production and quality control records.
• Follow manufacturer instructions and established safety procedures.
• Help identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.

Required Qualifications

• Experience operating 3D printers or equivalent hands-on technical manufacturing equipment.
• Basic understanding of 3D printing technology and manufacturing workflows.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions and standardized procedures.
• Comfortable working with computers and specialized equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple production tasks.
• Dependability and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience operating 3D printers.
• Experience with SLA, and DLP resin-based printing technologies.
• Dental laboratory or medical device manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with dental 3D printing materials and resins.
• Experience using slicing software and managing print jobs.
• Knowledge of wash and cure equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting resin-based printing systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing quality control and production documentation.
• Experience working in a high-volume production environment.
