What You’ll Do:
Ripley PR is looking for an exceptional and proven earned media writer to create client and agency public relations content. Our ideal candidate has a solid business acumen, creative vision, and the ability to see the big picture for our agency and each of our clients. With an effective content strategy and high-quality writing being a top focus for our clients, the earned media content specialist is a very important position for the agency.
As a Earned Media Content Specialist, you must be able to/have:
- Exceptional writing skills and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in public relations or similar marketing communications role
- Experience writing for a variety of industries including plumbing, HVAC, construction, franchising, B2B Tech/SaaS, and manufacturing. Excellent technical writing samples and an impressive portfolio are required.
- Proven ability to write clean and compelling press releases, bylined articles, media kits and other earned media assets
- Establish the voice, tone and point of view for each of your assigned clients
- Keep track of work deadlines
- Work quickly to deliver high-quality work ahead of schedule
- Self-edit and produce client-ready content including but not limited to blog posts, newsletter content, bios, website content, etc.
- Participate in assigned client meetings; create agendas and meeting minutes
- Maintain records and generate reports as assigned
- Coordinate, arrange and lead client interviews
- Stay up to date on emerging content marketing and communications trends
- Demonstrate excellent grammar
- Report weekly on earned media opportunities for the agency and for increasing client scope of work
