About the role We are looking for a Supervisor Hydrogeology to lead the safe execution of operational hydrogeology activities and provide technical support that enables groundwater supply, dewatering performance and water management outcomes to be delivered in line with site plans and business objectives. This role reports to the Superintendent Operations and works closely with operational, technical and contractor teams to ensure water management risks and opportunities are effectively managed. What you'll be doing Reporting to the Superintendent Operations and working closely with operational, technical and contractor teams to ensure water management risks and opportunities are effectively managed, you will: • Lead and promote a strong safety culture across ground water sampling field programs. • Allocate work, prioritise resources and provide day-to-day guidance for field hydro technicians and relevant contractors. • Coach and develop capability through training, mentoring and field-based support. • Monitor compliance with hydrogeology standards, procedures and water management requirements. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and technical outcomes. • Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions and support assurance activities for hydrogeology ground water sampling processes. • Collaborate with operations, planning, environment, and technical stakeholders to optimise water management performance. • Interface with mine operations, approvals, and other stakeholders to enable safe access to monitoring locations. Helpful for Success • Tertiary qualification in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science or a related discipline. • Experience working within Pilbara iron ore operations or large-scale open pit mining environments. • Exposure to hydrometric monitoring systems, groundwater modelling inputs or water management reporting.
