About The Role
We are looking for a Utility Operator who is responsible for operation of BCX utility equipment, Underflow Filter Press, material handling and associated equipment. Meeting the requirements outlined in standard operating procedures.
This is a great opportunity to perform daily safety inspections to comply with all facilities, regulatory, and safety training.
Reporting to the Crew Lead and working in a collaborative community in a challenging and exciting environment, within Hydroxide Line 2, you will
- Observe process variables using gauges and instruments and adjusts valves and controls to set and maintain specified operating ranges.
- Observe processing and auxiliary equipment to detect malfunctions then repairs or submits a request for repairs.
- Be responsible for entering production data into VDBs, log/batch sheets, databases and systems (SAP).
- Sample and test or submit requests for tests of process samples using LQM and makes required adjustments.
- Perform productivity maintenance tasks using basic hand tools.
- Collect and interpret information for making decisions from instruments and computers.
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or certification in Chemical Process Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Technology, or related field, strongly preferred.
- 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of the education criteria outlined above, and relevant manufacturing experience required.
- Ability to operate multiple circuits.
- Skilled in operating all area equipment and had the ability to run more than one unit at a time when required.
- Ability to service, repair, adjust, and test machines, devices, and equipment that operate mainly on mechanical principles.
