About The Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Shift Leader to join the Resolution Copper Underground Operations and Maintenance Group, which is responsible for the safe maintenance and operation of the existing physical assets, consisting of a deep shaft, multiple mine levels and associated equipment and infrastructure.

Reporting to the Underground Performance and Logistics Supervisor and working in a collaborative community within the Operations & Maintenance department, you will be
- Leading and working with mechanics, electricians, hoist operators and apprentices on a shift work basis
- Monitor adherence to safety procedures and to ensure the safety of all employees
- Mentoring and training Apprentices in the work group
- Overseeing a team of maintenance tradespersons to monitor the progress and quality of work
- Monitoring the operation of all equipment and responding to breakdowns and failures quickly to limit down time
- Interacting with site security and providing first response in the case of safety or security incidents
- Preparing shift reports and activity logs, adjusting the activity schedule as needed
- Coordinate closely with site personnel to ensure planned activities are executed safely and on schedule, including leading plan‑of‑the‑day and pre‑start safety meetings.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and lowering costs by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement and innovation
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of underground mining operations experience, with an emphasis on operations and maintenance
- 1 years of supervisory experience in an underground mining environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in underground hoisting, dewatering, ventilation, and cooling systems.
- Basic knowledge/understanding of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Experience in Critical Risk Management and Rio Tinto underground safety standards
- Knowledge of MSHA, OSHA and ASMI regulations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

Once in operation, Resolution Copper has the potential to supply nearly 25% of US copper demand and create several thousand direct and indirect jobs in the Pioneer Mining District of Arizona, with an economic value estimated at several billion dollars over the mine life.
The project will rely on a block caving technique to extract the deposit that lies more than 2,000 meters below the surface. This method uses gravity to remove the ore and is the most viable way to recover the resource.
