We are looking for Haul Truck Operators to join our Kennecott Utah Copper team. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of safe and efficient mining operations at one of the world’s leading open-pit mines.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Surface Mine Operations, your responsibilities will include
- Safely operating some of the largest haul trucks in the world in a large-scale production environment.
- Engaging with your team to promote and champion our "Keep Each Other Safe" safety program.
- Following supervisor guidance to operate equipment in line with standard procedures.
- Identifying hazards or mechanical issues before and during your shift.
- Being part of a proud legacy—operating in one of the oldest and most iconic open-pit mines in the world.

Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah. We produce copper, precious metals including gold and silver, molybdenum, tellurium, and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
