Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $40,296 – $57,391/year, based on experience and qualifications, with up to $13,000 in additional earning potential through optional summer and evening sessions

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:10 PM standard; shifts to 6:30 AM – 1:30 PM during clinical rotation weeks (2–3 days per week, December through June)

Job Summary

This role leads adult LPN curriculum across lecture, simulation lab, and supervised clinical settings, mentoring students through both the theoretical and hands-on dimensions of nursing practice. You'll work within a structured, well-supported academic program that provides the tools and institutional backing to make the educator transition smooth and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver nursing instruction spanning biological, physical, and psychological dimensions of patient care

Supervise, evaluate, and mentor students during clinical rotations at local healthcare facilities within a 16-mile radius

Adjust instructional approaches to meet the varied learning styles typical of adult learners

Keep accurate, thorough records of student attendance and clinical performance throughout the program

Collaborate with nursing faculty to build course outlines, refine curriculum content, and coordinate teaching schedules
Minimum Requirements

Active, unrestricted Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license in New York State

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; must be enrolled in or have completed a related Master's Degree program

Willingness to obtain NYS Adult Education Teacher Certification (employer provides full on-site assistance and workshop access)

Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for travel to clinical rotation sites

Ability to clear a standard NYS educational background check and fingerprinting process
