We're a B2B SaaS company, providing car washes with all the tools they need to transition to a subscription model. Modern car washes are fully-automated tunnels that can wash over 200 cars/hr, and they are moving from selling single washes to all-you-can-wash subscriptions. We are giving this $15bn underserved market the tools to manage and grow their subscription revenue.
We are a small team, who just raised our Series B from VMG Technology in addition to our Series A from Founder's Fund and Bedrock Capital. We are currently installed at over 3,000 car washes nationally helping to manage more than 8 million car wash memberships. What we've built so far is just the beginning. A Day in the Life
As a Hardware Specialist, you'll serve as Rinsed’s point of expertise for tablet hardware operations, ensuring devices are reliable, secure, and aligned with customer and product needs. This role supports all aspects of the hardware lifecycle, including procurement, configuration, deployment, and replacement, and requires strong project management and operational experience. Hardware Specialists works closely with vendors and internal teams to deliver a consistent, high-quality experience in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $90,000 - $105,000. This position is also eligible for incentive stock options, subject to the terms of applicable Rinsed plans. Rinsed provides an estimate of the compensation for roles that may be hired as required by state regulations. Compensation may vary based on (a) location, as we factor in specific location when benchmarking compensation for most roles, (b) individual candidate skills and qualifications, and (c) individual candidate experience. A Typical Day For This Role At Rinsed Includes
- Manage and Optimize Tablet Hardware Operations: Develop and execute strategic plans for tablet lifecycle management, including procurement, upgrades, repairs, and replacements, ensuring minimal downtime and high performance.
- Mobile Device Management: Oversee the MDM system (Esper) to streamline deployment, maintain compliance, and enforce security standards.
- Vendor and Partner Relationship Management: Build and manage relationships with hardware and connectivity vendors to ensure accountability, efficiency, and cost control.
- Documentation and Process Enablement: Create and maintain thorough documentation, such as troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and best practices, to support internal external teams and enhance knowledge sharing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams to proactively identify and resolve hardware-related challenges and improve field performance.
- Customer Support: Assist customers with tablet setup, configuration, and usage, providing clear and timely solutions with empathy and professionalism.
- Project Leadership and Continuous Improvement: Lead hardware initiatives, ensuring goals are met and identifying areas for operational and process improvement.
- Team Enablement and Mentorship: Act as the subject matter expert on tablet hardware and MDM systems. Train team members, share insights, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
You bring the following experience and expertise:
- Experience managing hardware programs or similar operational initiatives.
- Working knowledge of tablet hardware, MDM systems (e.g., Esper), and connectivity solutions.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
- Analytical thinker with attention to detail and a bias for problem-solving.
- Adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
- Willing and able to travel as needed to support on-site deployments and troubleshooting,
- Drives Product Reliability and Customer Confidence: Reliable hardware keeps our products performing at their best. This role is responsible for ensuring every tablet runs smoothly, stays connected, and minimizes downtime so customers can depend on Rinsed every day. Strong hardware performance directly translates into higher product reliability, adoption, and stronger customer trust.
- Critical to Scaling Rinsed’s Growth: As Rinsed expands, consistent and efficient hardware processes are vital to maintaining product quality across thousands of sites. This role helps standardize, scale, and optimize how we deliver hardware to ensure smooth growth without compromising reliability.
