This is a great opportunity for an experienced tax professional to lead tax planning, compliance, and strategy efforts, playing a key role in shaping the organization's overall tax position, in a hybrid role based in Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's overall tax position
- Manage the income tax provision process, including coordination with accounting and financial reporting teams
- Research and advise on the tax implications of business transactions, new initiatives, and regulatory changes
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and process improvements within the tax function
- Mentor and develop tax staff, reviewing their work and supporting their professional growth
- Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership on tax-related matters affecting the broader business
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
- 6 years of progressive tax experience, including prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Experience managing tax provision processes and external advisor relationships
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a hybrid work environment

Salary : $160,000 - $175,000
