📣 We’re hiring a Senior Tax Manager in Zanesville, Ohio!
Dark Horse CPAs is looking for an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our growing team.
This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys more than preparing and reviewing tax returns. We’re looking for a CPA who can take ownership of a portfolio of small business and individual clients, oversee tax engagements from planning through filing, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the year.
In this role, you’ll:
• Manage client relationships and be a primary point of contact for tax and advisory matters
• Lead proactive tax planning and strategy discussions with business owners and individuals
• Oversee complex federal, state, and local tax engagements
• Review returns and workpapers and ensure quality, accuracy, and timely completion
• Manage engagement workflows, priorities, and deadlines across multiple clients
• Supervise, mentor, and develop staff while helping them grow technically and professionally
• Work alongside firm leadership on process improvements and the continued growth of the practice
The position is full-time and hybrid, based in our Zanesville office.

We’re looking for someone with significant public accounting tax experience, strong technical knowledge of individual and business taxation, and experience managing both clients and people. An active CPA license is required.
