Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our quality management systems, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in accordance with AS9100 standards and other relevant aerospace regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process enhancement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams on quality-related matters, including process controls, inspection methods, and testing procedures.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality manuals.
- Participate in design reviews and new product introduction processes to ensure quality requirements are incorporated from the early stages of development.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma projects, to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Conduct supplier quality assessments and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, coordinating with relevant departments to implement effective solutions.
- Train and mentor quality technicians and other team members on quality processes, tools, and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in aerospace quality management.
- Represent the quality department in cross-functional meetings and project teams.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace industry.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100 quality management system requirements and implementation.
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies.
- Experience with quality management software and data analysis tools.
