A leading construction and fabrication organization is seeking a General Superintendent to lead field execution across complex mechanical and MEP projects across the West-Central Texas region. This is a high-level field leadership role responsible for driving day-to-day operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and at a high level of quality.
You’ll be the key link between field teams and project leadership—owning execution, mentoring teams, and helping push projects across the finish line. Ideal for someone with strong mechanical or plumbing background who has stepped into large-scale leadership and enjoys running work in the field.
• Manage and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and vendors
• Develop and execute project work plans and overall field strategy
• Drive scheduling efforts, including daily/weekly planning and long-term milestones
• Partner with project management on budget tracking, productivity, and job cost updates
• Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards
• Coordinate inspections and maintain strong relationships with inspectors and AHJs
• Support prefabrication planning and execution to improve efficiency and reduce field labor
• Track labor hours, production, and progress across all phases of the project
• Maintain clear communication between field teams, project managers, and clients
• Lead project closeout including punchlist, turnover, and documentation
• Proven experience leading large field teams on complex construction projects
• Strong background in HVAC, piping, plumbing, or multi-trade coordination
• Experience managing schedules, manpower, and field productivity
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and project documentation
• Strong leadership presence with ability to mentor and develop field teams
• Experience working on large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects preferred
• Familiarity with prefab / modular construction approaches is a plus
