What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at RimePro Inc?
A leading integrated construction and fabrication organization is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to drive process excellence across its modular and prefabricated assembly operations. This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for designing, documenting, and continuously improving manufacturing processes that support complex electromechanical builds. You'll work at the intersection of design, production, and quality, optimizing workstations, refining assembly sequencing, and ensuring every process is built to scale.
This is a high-impact role for a process-minded engineer who thrives on the factory floor as much as at the whiteboard. Ideal for someone with a strong lean manufacturing foundation who has experience in modular, prefabricated, or electromechanical assembly environments and wants to shape how world-class production systems are built and run.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and standardize manufacturing processes across modular and electromechanical assembly lines
- Optimize workstation layouts, line flow, ergonomics, and assembly sequencing to improve throughput and reduce waste
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives delivering measurable gains in safety, quality, cost, and productivity
- Apply DFM/DFMA methodologies in collaboration with Design Engineering to ensure products are built for efficient production
- Review and refine shop drawings to confirm alignment with defined production layouts and build sequencing
- Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions, BOMs, routings, and standard operating procedures
- Utilize ERP systems for production tracking, BOM management, and process control
- Support CAD-based layout development for tooling concepts, equipment integration, and facility planning
- Partner cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive operational alignment
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks through data analysis and structured problem-solving
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline required
- 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably within modular, prefabricated, or complex electromechanical assembly environments
- Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools including kaizen, 5S, and value stream mapping
- Solid understanding of workstation design, line layout, ergonomics, and assembly sequencing
- Proficiency in CAD tools to support process layouts, tooling concepts, and equipment integration
- Strong command of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
- Working knowledge of ERP systems for production tracking, BOM management, and routings
- Background in data center or power infrastructure manufacturing is a strong plus
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams
Benefits
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off and holidays
- Annual Incentive Program
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge modular and prefabricated systems in a high-growth environment
- Long-term stability within a fully integrated design, fabrication, and construction organization
- Strong internal culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement
