Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on both facilities and production equipment. This position requires hands-on use of tools and machinery to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency while ensuring a safe and well-maintained work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and improve performance.
Service and repair machinery such as presses, conveyors, pumps, compressors, forklifts, welders, saws, backhoes, and skid steers.
Replace or repair control components including switches, sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, and motor starters.
Execute work orders, inspections, and equipment adjustments.
Safely operate welders, grinders, drill presses, and other fabrication equipment as needed.
Fabricate, install, and modify parts or equipment to support production needs.
Support facility upkeep through carpentry, masonry, groundskeeping, snow removal, and related tasks.
Participate in company safety, health, and environmental initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
Previous hands-on maintenance or repair experience required.
Valid driver’s license.
Skilled in the use of both hand and power tools.
Ability to disassemble and reassemble machines for repair or part replacement.
Strong attention to detail with a professional attitude and appearance.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvements and apply sound judgment in troubleshooting.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Work may occur indoors, outdoors, in noisy, dusty, or otherwise challenging environments.
Tasks may require working at heights, in confined spaces, or adverse weather conditions.
Regular climbing, kneeling, crouching, and balancing required.
Must be capable of lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, and safety practices required.
Reliable and punctual attendance required; this is an on-site role located in the Stapleton area of Denver with occasional travel to jobsites within the metro area.
