Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing team, working on projects across Philadelphia and South Jersey. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of public and private sector projects, including land development, transportation improvements, utility infrastructure, and municipal engineering.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site design, permitting processes, and civil infrastructure development, with the flexibility to navigate both Pennsylvania and New Jersey regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities

Design and prepare detailed drawings for grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and stormwater management systems.

Conduct site assessments and prepare feasibility studies and engineering reports.

Assist with local, state, and federal permitting processes in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Develop construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates.

Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater systems.

Coordinate with project teams, clients, municipal officials, and regulatory agencies.

Support construction-phase services including RFIs, submittal reviews, field inspections, and punch lists.

Ensure all designs meet applicable codes and regulations for both Pennsylvania and New Jersey jurisdictions.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required)

EIT certification (required); PE license (preferred or ability to obtain within 1–2 years)

3–7 years of civil engineering experience (land development, site engineering, or municipal projects preferred)

Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D (required)

Familiarity with civil engineering software

Understanding of Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) permitting processes (preferred)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to project sites in PA and NJ
Preferred Skills (Not Required)

Knowledge of PennDOT, City of Philadelphia, NJDOT, and NJDEP design and permitting standards

LEED accreditation or experience in sustainable site design practices

Experience with preparing public meeting materials and community engagement efforts
