Job Summary:
The responsibility of the Experienced Access Authorization Background Investigator is to focus on background investigations that are in compliance with NEI 03-01. This individual must be detail oriented and a team player. We also expect this individual to possess the ability to function independently, as well as execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct background investigations in accordance with NEI 03-01
- Sending out, tracking, and reviewing background applications
- Draft a cohesive summary of background investigation
- Coordinating with RPG staff and vendors
- Assisting applicants via phone and email
- Manage workload based on client demands
- Running reports through proprietary database
- Thorough documentation of actions throughout the background investigation process
- Additional assignments as necessary to support the department

- Proficient using Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) as well as an applicant tracking systems
- Must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to medical, psychological, background and substance abuse screenings
Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years of background investigation experience under NEI 03-01
- Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily consists of sedentary work with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or using a telephone
- Frequent sitting, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
- Walking, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting required occasionally
- Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, expansive reading, visual inspection involving small effects, small parts and or operation of office equipment at distances close to the eyes
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Travel required up to 5%, attending corporate meetings at the Rock Hill, SC office or any appropriate industry training.
