Responsibilities
Production Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor and optimize production performance from a centralized control system
- Track production targets and adjust operations to meet performance goals
- Analyze real-time and historical data to improve production efficiency
- Identify and respond to abnormal operating conditions
- Monitor and optimize artificial lift systems (e.g., plunger lift, gas lift, rod pump, compression systems)
- Adjust operating parameters to maintain flow rates and equipment performance
- Support troubleshooting of well and facility issues to minimize downtime
- Monitor surface equipment, facilities, and production systems for optimal operation
- Collaborate with field operations, engineering, and maintenance teams
- Generate work notifications and material requests as needed
- Assist in prioritizing operational and maintenance activities
- Coordinate well operations including unloading, chemical treatments, and production adjustments
- Generate and validate daily production and recovery plans
- Track production losses, downtime events, and performance metrics
- Maintain accurate operational documentation and system updates
- Support audits and ensure data integrity across systems
- Conduct real-time surveillance and alert management
- Manage alarms, forecasts, and operational models
- Support centralized decision-making for multiple assets
- Provide updates and operational guidance to stakeholders
- Monitor and support optimization of production facilities and equipment
- Assist with stabilization processes, trunk lines, and central facility operations
- Ensure production systems meet performance and product specifications
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Support safe operating practices and risk mitigation efforts
- Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs
- Support operational strategy and long-term performance goals
- Contribute to budget awareness and cost control initiatives
Skills and Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in oil and gas operations, production, or control room environments
- Experience with production monitoring, artificial lift systems, or facility operations
- Strong understanding of production systems and artificial lift methods
- Experience with real-time monitoring systems, control systems, or SCADA platforms
- Ability to analyze operational data and identify performance trends
- Knowledge of well operations, production optimization, and equipment behavior
- Ability to diagnose operational issues and recommend solutions
- Strong decision-making skills within defined operating parameters
- Capability to manage multiple assets and priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Ability to clearly convey operational updates, risks, and actions
- Experience working in team-based operational environments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards in oil and gas operations
- Experience with production reporting and tracking systems
