The Midstream Operator 3 is responsible for leading the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance coordination of compressor stations and associated midstream equipment. This role supports operational reliability by overseeing compressor performance, analyzing field and SCADA data, coordinating repairs and vendor activities, and ensuring compliance with company, environmental, and regulatory standards.
The position requires advanced operational knowledge of compressor systems, strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in field environments while supporting a strong safety culture. This role may include night shift schedules, emergency response responsibilities, and mentoring less experienced operators.

Responsibilities
- Lead compressor station operations and maintenance activities with limited supervision.
- Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize compressors, pumps, engines, and auxiliary equipment.
- Analyze SCADA data, field readings, and operational trends to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.
- Utilize predictive maintenance practices to minimize unscheduled downtime.
- Coordinate and oversee corrective maintenance activities and vendor performance.
- Perform and document operational inspections, field rounds, and equipment checks.
- Ensure accurate operational reporting, recordkeeping, and GIS mapping updates.
- Monitor corrosion control systems and collaborate with chemical and engineering teams to improve equipment protection and performance.
- Support instrumentation and controls troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues, failures, and equipment downtime events.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, environmental, safety, and operational regulations and procedures.
- Participate in emergency response activities and serve as a field contact during operational incidents.
- Maintain strong communication with operations, engineering, maintenance, and field personnel.
- Mentor and train junior operators while promoting peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.
- Support and promote a strong safety culture, including stop-work authority and participation in safety programs.
- Perform work in varying outdoor and field conditions, including night shift operations as required.

- 5 years of experience in midstream operations, compressor station operations, or related oil & gas operations preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of compressor stations, rotating equipment, and midstream systems.
- Experience with SCADA systems, operational monitoring tools, and field reporting.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements related to midstream operations and pipeline systems.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, operational, and instrumentation issues.
- Ability to read and interpret operational data, reports, and technical documentation.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
- Ability to work night shifts, rotational schedules, and respond to operational emergencies as needed.
- Ability to work safely in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Rig Pass, SafeLand, and gas monitoring certifications preferred or required depending on assignment.
