Job Description:

Seeking a Sand Cat Operator / Flowback Operator to support well completion and hydraulic fracturing operations. This position involves operating sand transfer equipment and flowback systems to safely and efficiently manage the return of fluids, proppants, and hydrocarbons following fracturing operations. The operator will monitor pressures, flows, and equipment performance to ensure safe operations and maximize production while minimizing environmental impact.

Responsibilities:

• Operate sand transfer equipment (Sand Cat) to move proppant materials during completion operations
• Set up, operate, and monitor flowback equipment and systems
• Monitor and control wellhead pressures, flow rates, and fluid levels during flowback operations
• Separate oil, gas, water, and sand during the flowback process
• Adjust chokes, valves, and other equipment to maintain optimal flow parameters
• Monitor and record operating data including pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and fluid volumes
• Conduct pre-operational inspections of equipment and systems
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and operational issues
• Respond to changing well conditions and make necessary adjustments
• Coordinate with completion crews, frac teams, and production personnel
• Maintain accurate records and complete operational reports
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of produced fluids and materials
• Monitor tank levels and coordinate fluid hauling operations
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on flowback equipment
• Follow all safety procedures, including H2S protocols and well control practices
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operations status

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience as a flowback operator, sand cat operator, or in well completion operations preferred
• Knowledge of hydraulic fracturing operations and flowback procedures
• Understanding of wellhead equipment, pressures, and flow control systems
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret gauges, flow meters, and pressure indicators
• Valid driver's license
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work long hours in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb equipment, and work in various weather conditions
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and extended schedules
• Understanding of safety protocols and commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to respond quickly to changing well conditions and emergency situations
