Job Description
This role is an engineering-focused project support position responsible for coordinating engineering design activities, project deliverables, and cross-functional interfaces to ensure projects are completed within budget, schedule, and technical requirements. The position works under general supervision and follows established guidelines and procedures to support project execution, engineering evaluations, and compliance with design standards. The role also serves in a coordination capacity between project teams, contractors, and functional resources, ensuring alignment across all phases of project development from planning through execution.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection processes
- Support identification and sourcing of long-lead equipment, ensuring coordination with Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contractors until equipment is assigned
- Coordinate development and tracking of capital project management system (e.g., Gate 3) deliverables
- Assist in developing and maintaining Functional Interaction Plans
- Coordinate project issue identification, tracking, and resolution processes
- Review and coordinate change requests, and support change authorization processes
- Ensure assigned work scope is completed in alignment with defined project objectives
- Collaborate with project team members and functional resources to verify design and construction align with project specifications and standards
- Act as a liaison between project teams and contractors to facilitate communication and alignment
- Support smooth transitions between project phases and stages
- Assist Project Management Teams in applying established project management systems and processes
- Provide backup support to the Project Manager as needed

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- Experience working in engineering, construction, project management, or project controls environments
- Experience supporting multi-discipline projects and cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with engineering design standards, specifications, and project work processes
- Exposure to project lifecycle stages, including planning, design, procurement, and construction
- Understanding of project management systems, workflows, and deliverables
- Ability to work under supervision while following established procedures and guidelines
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and support coordination of technical and administrative project activities
- Experience handling documentation, reporting, and change management processes in a project environment
