Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in Gonzales, LA. The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, preparing cost estimates, soliciting bids from subcontractors and suppliers, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with project managers and clients. The role involves preparing detailed proposals, managing cost data, and ensuring all estimating processes align with company best practices.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cost estimation, bid preparation, and project takeoffs
- Experience with construction plans, specifications, and project documentation
- Strong knowledge of site development, civil and marine construction methodologies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers and subcontractors
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
- Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools
- Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports with accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in construction estimation, particularly in the Gulf Coast Region, is a plus
